Terms of Service
Effective August 30, 2026
1. Who we are
Atlas is an independent, personally operated project — not a company. You can reach the operator at hello@atlasly.org. Atlas is a map where travelers share dated, first-hand experiences — places, routes, border crossings, visa and SIM notes — so the next traveler finds fresh, real information.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google or an email link. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Atlas.
3. Your content
You own everything you post. By posting, you give Atlas a non-exclusive license to host and display your content within the service (on the map, on your profile, in search and previews). Experiences, routes, comments and your profile are public; things you save are private to you. Share only first-hand, truthful experiences and only photos you took or have the right to share. No spam, advertising, harassment, illegal content or automated scraping.
4. Travel information is not advice
Visa rules, border difficulty, SIM tips and everything else on Atlas come from the community and public sources (visa data is partly derived from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA). Conditions change fast and entries can be wrong or outdated. Always verify with official government sources before traveling. Atlas is not responsible for decisions you make based on content found here.
5. Moderation
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. You can report any content in the app. You can stop using Atlas at any time and ask us to delete your account and content.
6. No warranty
Atlas is provided free, as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as Atlas evolves; the effective date above will change when we do. If you keep using Atlas after a change, the new terms apply. Questions? Email hello@atlasly.org.
