Who is responsible

Atlas is an independent, personally operated project — not a company. For anything privacy-related, email hello@atlasly.org.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and avatar.
• What you post: experiences, photos, routes, ratings, comments and profile details — including the dates and locations you choose to attach. These are public by design; private saves stay private to you.
• Technical data: anonymous usage analytics and error reports, so the app can be improved and fixed.

The only cookies Atlas sets are the ones needed to keep you signed in. There are no ads and no ad tracking, and your data is never sold.

Who processes it

Atlas runs on a small set of service providers that process data on our behalf:

• Supabase (EU, Frankfurt) — database, authentication and photo storage
• Vercel (EU, Frankfurt) — hosting
• OpenFreeMap & MapTiler — map tiles — your browser requests tiles directly
• Resend — sign-in and notification emails
• PostHog (EU) — anonymous product analytics
• Sentry (EU) — error reports when something crashes
• DeepL — translating a note only when you tap Translate

Public by design

Atlas exists so travelers can leave information for the next traveler. Anything you post publicly can be seen by anyone, may appear in search engines, and may remain visible in quotes or forks even after you edit it. Only attach a date or location when you are comfortable sharing it.

Your rights

You can edit or delete your own content in the app at any time. You can also ask for a copy of your data or full deletion of your account and everything attached to it — email hello@atlasly.org and it will be handled within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, these are your GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection.

Children

Atlas is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Major changes will be announced in the app.
